I suppose this is a response to all those cameras that have the flip out and turn around screens. They usually don’t work well on cameras of this type, do they?
Huh? I've got a Canon A650, before that a Panasonic FZ30, before that Canon S5 and S3. All had no problems with their flip & twist screens. I'd regard the feature to be so valuable it's a deal-breaker not to have it, which, sadly, does limit my future choices somewhat.
Still, Canon, Panasonic and Olympus (& Sony, sort of) are producing options. ;^)

I think this is a great idea, because we all have those moments when we want to take a snapshot of ourselves and who wants to keep retaking pictures of themselves?
