I’d think they would be more likely to steal it BECAUSE of the lock on it.

Doesn’t seem that secure to me. there’s only about 1000 possible combinations… if someone really wants you data, they’ll stick it in their pocket and bruteforce the lock, either by patience, or just by taking the thing apart somehow.
