I like the idea, but wouldn’t it just be cheaper to install a regular fire alarm in the room that you sleep in?

This is a perfect solution for not only a heavy sleeper, but one who owns a large home. Often distance will reduce the effectiveness of the alarm. This will solve this problem.

Not bad. An alarm clock that also works as a smoke alarm. Can you imagine a 90-decibel fire alarm sound waking you up by your bedside? If that doesn’t wake you up, I don’t know what will.
