The Solar Powered Travel Bag

While you’re out traveling, especially if it’s in the great outdoors, your gadgets don’t always get the charge they really need. Which makes having a solar panel around extremely helpful. Well with this, not only would you have a way to charge your gadgets, but something to store them in as well. Be it while you’re out camping or just going from work to home, this would make things a little more convenient and not to mention eco-friendly.
The solar panel has overcharge, discharge and short circuit protection, so it will last a bit longer. It will charge your typical cellphone in under 5 hours, that of course depends on the battery capacity though. It will also charge things such as your MP3 player, portable game consoles and various other small gadgets. The bag comes with a USB adaptor as well as 3 mobile phone adaptors for Nokia phones, Samsung and Sony-Ericsson. As far as solar bags go this isn’t actually priced too badly. You can purchase it for £14.99 or about $25 from Maplin.

I like this product very much and VERY reasonably priced!!! I love all the solar charging devices and own many. This technology is the RIGHT direction and we should all be doing our share. Not everyone can afford and/or have the room for powering their homes but we can all utilize the solar gadgets that are currently out there, with more to come.

This is a great bag – big enough for most laptops (sadly, not my latest 17″ screen laptop though!).
I use it for charging up my Nokia mobile phone when I’m in the car or on the move. It works well – I’m not a heavy phone user but this bag means I never have to bother charging up my phone when I’m at home or in the office.

Impressive idea to create a bag where you could store at the same time charge your electric gadgets. A must have when travelling or camping. I hope the solar panels will have the capacity to charge bigger batteries for longer hours though.

What a very cool idea to have a charger for electronic gadgets installed on your bag. This is quite necessary for me who needs to be online always. Is it able to charge laptops? Perhaps ipad or my torch would suffice. I need to respond continuously to customers thus I can’t afford to be offline.

A business associate gifted me with this cool solar bag and so far so good. I am able to conveniently charge my mobile phone and most of all the perpetuity of solar power and the thought that you are saving both time and energy give me some eco-friendly satisfaction. It goes along with my hybrid Durango…wish I would be fully solar powered in all of my cars, PC, and accessories in the near future.

My son would love this! It’s been getting harder and harder to get him to join us in our annual family camping trips. Being able to charge his phone while in the woods/mountains would be a great come on. Gotta talk to the gf 24/7!

I’m a big fan of solar powered devices. A charging station right inside your back pack? This one is great! Now you don’t have to pay charging stations or use up commercial electricity just to “re-fuel” your gadgets. Considering the price, it’s a low cost investment with long term benefits.

Just my style.. I hope I can get one by this week since I’m about to go camping with my family this weekend. I really love the innovation you made with this bag. I hope you can also do the same with backpacks. Just suggesting but this is great by itself.. Thanks!

Oh, I love this! Such a great bag to bring around with me in my travels. And it’s great that it does not look geeky at all for something so techy!
