Vote in this Week’s Coolest Gadget Contest

by

We have some GREAT entries this week, so will be interesting to see what you think is coolest (as usual vote and comment for a chance to win $50 Amazon voucher).

Washable Keyboard

Washable Keyboard

The Washable Keyboard is perfect if you like to keep your work station clean. Its amazing how many germs and pieces of food get onto your keyboard in a short space of time and with the Washable Keyboard it makes cleaning it so simple. With a normal keyboard its pretty much impossible to clean them properly as most are not waterproof. With this being 100% waterproof it means your keyboard won’t stop working if you happen to spill your drink on it either.

Wind Up Walkie Talkies

Wind Up Walkie Talkies

This is no “Wind Up”, ha ha (had to get that joke in before anyone else). What you’re looking at is a set of walkie talkies that are powered through the age old art of “winding”. Like clocks of old, to make these little eco-gadgets work you simply flick out the wind handle, take a firm grip and wind like a good-un. The wind to power ratio works out surprisingly satisfactualy as well.

At last I can drink beer while playing games without worrying about the odd spill!

Is there really any contest? That water jetpack is one of the coolest gadgets i’ve ever seen on here.

John Says: July 17, 2009 at 8:24 am

Water Jetpack is an instant win for me. The Climb Station seemed pretty neat, but I would rather go flying over water at 30 mph instead.

Selene M. Says: July 17, 2009 at 8:36 am

I voted for the laptop cooler

Jabberwock Says: July 17, 2009 at 9:28 am

The keyboard I would forgot to dry…

I would cut myself with the bagel cutter…

I would fold the port with the pint in it…

I choose the JetLev, been around too long anyway!

A water-powered jet pack? Are you kidding me? Buzz Lightyear here we come!

Tyler Says: July 17, 2009 at 10:18 am

Wow it was almost a five way tie between: Wind Up Walkie Talkies, Washable Keyboard, ClimbStation, Futuristic Router, and Laptop Cooler. Walkie Talkies got the vote.

Ian Says: July 17, 2009 at 10:18 am

Maybe not only this week’s coolest gadget but this year’s coolest gadget, the etLev-Fly is the winner. There is no way to compete against this thing (unless someone starts selling an actual jetpack).

Justin Says: July 17, 2009 at 10:19 am

The water-jet pack! Its been around for awhile, but it is still awesome! I want one

Liz Says: July 17, 2009 at 10:34 am

I think they are all great but like the laptop cooler

jack Says: July 17, 2009 at 11:22 am

The easy desk cool 2 would be a boon to those of us with disabilities.

Distahs Says: July 17, 2009 at 11:37 am

cara Says: July 17, 2009 at 11:41 am

tru Says: July 17, 2009 at 11:50 am

This week was really tough! I need the laptop desk, my fiance really needs the washable keyboard, but the water jet pack is just too awesome!

Juergen Says: July 17, 2009 at 11:52 am

Climbstation for me – I could do with the exercise

Jason Says: July 17, 2009 at 1:07 pm

The porta-pint is a great party trick gadget. Good for camping, too.

Drew Says: July 17, 2009 at 1:22 pm

The ClimbStation is IMHO the coolest thing this week, but on the practicality side, The washable keyboard is what I could….erm….actually afford…

Jerry D. Says: July 17, 2009 at 2:40 pm

I want that water jet pack =)

J.Carey Says: July 17, 2009 at 5:16 pm

Water Powered JetLev-Flyer – not sure I’d try it, but would enjoy watching somebody else attempt it

Thyago Says: July 17, 2009 at 5:23 pm

The jetpack is definitely the coolest.

will Says: July 17, 2009 at 7:02 pm

The jetpack. Damn if it isn’t impractical, but I’d love to have one.

Helard Says: July 18, 2009 at 1:09 am

The Washable Keyboard is an essential!

andy Says: July 18, 2009 at 3:25 pm

my vote goes to the bagelpod. i hate it when you’re trying to cut a bagel and the knife isn’t sharp enough and you just end up squishing your poor breakfast. this bagelpod looks like it might be able to take care of that problem.

Deen Says: July 18, 2009 at 9:18 pm

BagelPod looks more aesthetic than that guillotine-like contraption I threw out…

Essam Says: July 19, 2009 at 3:48 pm

The Washable Keyboard is essential one, so I’ve voted for it.

Mirabel Says: July 19, 2009 at 7:38 pm

Most of them are pretty amazing to me, but the Jet pack is an instant win. What kid didn’t dream of flying in a jet pack far off in the future of adulthood? Now it’s possible to (somewhat) fufill childhood dreams!! Instant win!
