it is real, just not an implant. if you look closely, you'll see that it's a very thin clear material with simple digital numbers. energy-wise, it would be very low-consumption so any little bit of energy it is designed to use should easily power such a small/simple function.

If you check the source, the original poster states "There isn’t a whole lot of information on his design, but I am going to assume for now that it is only a concept. " So it's not a question of real or fake.

The question was what is your opinion of taking it to this step, of completely integrating an electronic device in such a manner that isn't life supporting.

Personally I love the watch. I'm tired of spending my money on watches. Think of the reactions you'll get when someone asks you for the time. This is one I would buy.

seems that if this product was real there would be a link to where to get it or more information about it, or at least some information about who developed it and where. that's in other coolest gadget posts. so, don't expect to be believed, and why are you wasting people's time with stuff like this?

Super fake. There would be an obvious lump under his skin. You can see his veins through the numbers. So unless they created see-through electronics while I wasn't looking, this guy or really hairy chick should get an epic slap to the mouth. Concepts are ok, as long as you are touting them as such. But, super obvious fake stuff makes me mad.
Other faults:

It wouldn't be black, it would have to be illuminated by something(Radium(harmfully radioactive), Tritium, Phosphorus, a laser).

Kinetic watches don't provide electricity they manually wind your watch.

You would have a giant lump under your skin from the lcd.

Your body can act as a battery, due to the ph, but it would be very hot(and I am pretty sure having a skin watch wouldn't be worth having the feeling of someone putting a cigerette out on your wrist perpetually).

People are made of water, so having bare electronics under your skin would short them out(then you would just have a gross lump under your skin)

There are very few inert materials that can be inserted under the skin and not be rejected by your body. That is why piercings have to go through fleshy tissue and not just skin. Imagine a splinter the size of a watch being rejected by your body. So, instead of a cool watch, you would have a seeping, possibly infected wound.

But hey, what do I know. Guess, I'm just not rich enough to pay the price for cool.

If it is real, which I doubt, a slight advancement in display tech, as you still need the external clock for time sync. Now, if this had its own internal sync it would be an improvement.

My next question is: features? Stopwatch? Night Light? Alarm? Otherwise, what is the benefit of having this attached besides always knowing what time it is? Or am I wrong?

But now, when someone invents this as a fully internal HUD, call me, yea?
