They&#039;re triggered by a photoelectric cell - when they detect a very bright light, they go off (and might trigger other flashes that didn&#039;t get triggered by the first impulse). Also quite usefull to put on your car ;-)

Can&#039;t see the use for purse-mounting, though - Britney and Paris won&#039;t flash their purse at paparazzis, but rather something else starting with p...</description>
