Wind Up Radio 3-in-1
by Edwin in Eco Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets
Everyone wants to go green these days as it is an added bonus whenever you try to market your product, and the Wind Up Radio 3-in-1 looks set to be a suitable candidate as it doesn’t require any batteries or wires, but just some muscle power. Targeting those who love to spend time outdoors, this rugged splashproof wind up radio will also come with an integrated torch and emergency siren.
With the Wind Up Radio you embark on your next big outdoor adventure free from bothersome batteries and the restrictions of the mains. An internal battery is powered through your winding and a simple 1-minute’s cranking is enough to deliver an impressive 1 hour of power. This sturdy wind up radio is ideally suited for the outdoors, being light but rugged, portable and splash proof. Plus this outdoor radio comes with an LED torch to help you navigate the campsite after dark and an emergency siren in case you get into any scrapes while you’re out and about. The aerial on this wind up radio is good quality and there’s even a headphone jack if you want to tune into your outdoor radio privately without disturbing fellow campers. Great idea, well crafted and solid – get yours today!
The Wind Up Radio 3-in-1 can be yours for £19.95. I find it pretty hard to swallow that a mere 60 seconds of cranking can offer up to an hour’s worth of juice, but has anyone else tried it out yet?

June 28th, 2009 at 5:25 pmI own an Eton wind-up radio similar to this one and 60-90 seconds of cranking does give 1 hour of juice.

I once owned one of those wind up torches; I had to virtually continually wind it to get any light at all. Not good.
