[...] Published by Maria Mihale, on Jun 25 2009, in the categories: Uncategorized I love wearing a watch on my wrist, but my main purpose has nothing to do with owning a device as multifunctional as a device like this can be. What I want from a watch is to be effective when it comes to telling me the time and to look simple and elegant. I’ve said before and I’ll repeat ‘til the end of time: multifunctional is not my word and it will never be, no matter what! However, there are many among you, my readers, who are crazy about devices that are able to do more than they should. Just like the Flashlight Wristwatch. By looking at the picture above you’ll realize what’s the main function of this gadget offered by Hammacher Schlemmer, but you can’t tell it has a flashlight stuffed somewhere inside. I can’t say that a flashlight is something I can’t live without, something that’s essential and I would be thankful to find within a watch, but I’m sure that many of you will find it interesting enough. “This is the wristwatch that has a built-in three-LED flashlight in its face that provides bright illumination, ideal for finding keys and opening a door at night. The LEDs are located at the Noon, four and eight positions of the watch; the first press of the button causes the LEDs to generate soft blue light that illuminates the watch’s face – ideal for reading a theater program – and the second press generates bright white light. A third press of the button shuts off all LEDs.” This is a rechargeable watch that is based on the electromagnetic quartz movement that is especially designed to ensure a very precise timekeeping for a period of time of approximately three months. The only thing you should do is to charge the watch for about eight hours from the charging stand that comes included. The case is made of stainless steel, while the dome is made of mineral crystal, which makes the wristwatch resistant to water depths of no more 165'. Available at Hammacher Schlemmer for $149.95. (Source: Coolest-Gadgets) [...]
