[...] Published by Maria Mihale, on Jun 19 2009, in the categories: Gadgets Of course it’s not a Spartan helmet, as it looks more like an object from a future world, rather than one from ancient times. This helmet, as weird as it looks, is meant to all of you out there who love to bike all day long. Called the AH-64 Apache, this helmet was specifically designed to be resistant to the front-line environments and to be functional both during days or nights. This is possible due to the built-in power system consisting of LEDs that are placed in the rear vents, which have an important role when it comes to increasing the night visibility. In addition, there are two modes the user can switch between, the steady mode and the flashing one. Not to mention the ultra bright LED light that is placed on the front of the Apache, which can be used whenever you want to read maps, for maintenance or when the light conditions are low. The hypoallergenic interior can be removed and washed, while other features include: DOT & ECE 22-05 certification, a material made of composite fiberglass and kevlar, airflow made through 6 vents and UV resistant clear-coat. The aerodynamic shape, on the other hand, is wind tunnel designed. You can choose between the following optional visors: AEGIS Blue Iridium, AEGIS Chrome, AEGIS Gold, AEGIS Iridium, Blue Chrome, Mirrored, Red, Smoke and SunShift 2.0. Each helmet comes in package with a wall charger, being sold under a price of $349. (Source: Coolest-Gadgets) [...]
