If somebody wants to shoot HD videos, then he or she should go for HD camcorder, not for DSLR. I love my DSLR and I only use it for photos, not for videos. The magnification is 2x, so that a 50mm f2 Summicron lens will be a 100mm f2, but those are some great lenses. The great Canon FD 35mm f2.8TS Tilt Shift lens is now a 70mm tilt shift, automatic, digital lens. The two cameras have a setting that allows you to view a bright image even tho the lens is stopped down.
