Ecco GPS Keychain Saves From Exhausting Searches For Lost Vehicles
Forgetting where my car is parked is something that happens to me on a fairly regular basis, which makes the Ecco GPS an enticing gadget to say the least. It is a GPS unit that serves only one function, to reunite you with your vehicle with the bare minimum of legwork.
It only holds three locations, but I only have one car so it sounds alright to me. Ten minutes of use per day will get you two weeks of battery time, and it is rechargeable via USB.

Xbox 360 – Project Natal
Project Natal is Microsoft’s next generation control system. Similar to the Wii, this new system requires a sensor bar, but unlike the Wii, the bar incorporates a camera, motion sensors and a microphone that can detect full body motion. This new system will allow for a whole new level of game play and interactivity without the need for game controllers.

Portable Misting Tower: Cool Down this Summer
A great way to keep warm as you’re soaking up the incredibly hot sun we’ve been having this week, the Portable Misting Tower does exactly what it says on the tin- it’s a 7′2″ tower which is portable and gives out mist when attached to a regular garden hose. A fine mist of water is sprayed from the top bar, falls on your skin and returns your body temperature from Mercury to Pluto (or at least Earth). Good for BBQ, sun worshiping and even the plants come Autumn!

June 5th, 2009 at 6:58 amProject Natal shows great promise for what the future of gaming, digital entertainment and technological interaction holds for us. It’s that first big step towards creating the high-tech societies we see in all the sci-fi movies and TV shows.

June 5th, 2009 at 7:11 amI know the monitor will win because it’s geek heaven, but I love the gps car locator. Sadly, that would be much more useful to me.

June 5th, 2009 at 8:14 amWhile there are some great products/gadgets posted this week on CGOTW – including the Alienware M17x Gaming Laptop, the NEC CRV43 43 Inch Curved Monitor and even the Ice Shot Glasses, my submission would be for the Xbox 360 – Project Natal from Microsoft!
As an avid fan of the Nintendo Wii, there are frustrations when people can manipulate motions to gain the same gaming results (my 6-year-old can do most Wii Sports activities by just clicking his wrist!). The great part of these new interactive gaming systems is that they keep people active and engaged. The Xbox 360 – Project Natal offering is likely the closest option to a fully-interactive and “virtual-reality-like” gaming platform.
I think this could be a tremendous product – the challenge will be whether it can gain momentum with resources and money being spent differently with the fragile economy. I hope so – and also look forward to Nintendo and others stepping up to the competition here to spur increased innovation!
Best,
Ian

June 5th, 2009 at 8:30 amOk, this week was a hard choice. There all useful and innovative in some way BUT i have to say Project Natal should win as its “standard setting” in the gaming industry. To take an already existing product (Xbox360), then lets not forget the disadvantage of the cancellation of HD-DVD which kind of killed one of the 360’s selling points THEN Microsoft bring out this which KILLS the Wii and sets itself apart from any other gaming machine. They just breathed new life into the 360 !!

June 5th, 2009 at 12:58 pmNatal is the most awesome thing in the history of ever.
If it works as advertised, that is.
If not, that curved screen is looking good to me.

June 5th, 2009 at 2:36 pmThe monitor! Holy crap that’s a cool display. I am, however, intrigued by this “misting tower” you speak of. The link didn’t work for me and the thumbnail looks more like a coffee dispenser?
Michael Says:
June 5th, 2009 at 2:51 pmYou mean the coffee mister?
Drew Says:
June 5th, 2009 at 3:00 pmHaha, “Introducing the Coffee Mister” I can see the ads now. No, no wait…No, those aren’t ads, they’re lawsuits.

June 21st, 2009 at 1:40 amWell, the Xbox 360 Project Natal is gonna take it coz of the advancement in concept.. As compared with the Wii that uses controls it does not involve controls and can detect player position and movements just with the sensors.. i need not mention the camera and voice recognition system.. As with the Wii, a two year old would play on the Wii and win.. Coz you just move the control and bingo.. But this is going to be a totally different ball game.. And also for those game ADDICTS… You sure to get some excercise and stay healthy and fit
.. Another great reason for it to be the coolest gadget..
