[...] Published by Maria Mihale, on Jun 06 2009, in the categories: Gadgets If your cell phone can be green (take Sony Ericsson GreenHeart for example) or the wireless music headphones that will help you listen to your favorite songs all day long, why not taking the treadmill to the next level? Why not trying to keep your life as green as possible? So that you know, you will have the chance to turn your treadmill workouts into eco-friendly ones not only by jogging outdoors, but also by exercising inside your home. We all know that rainy mornings are not encouraging for anyone, as enthusiastic as a person can be. The EcoMill is a treadmill that uses zero electricity, being powered by the person who decides to exercise and based on the near frictionless drive system developed by Woodway. Yes, you got it right, there’s no motor involved, so, if you want to have the treadmill powered, you’ll have to be energetic enough in order to charge up its battery. This way, you’ll have the information you need right in front of your eyes, on the display. I’m not sure if it’s a good idea for a person to purchase such a treadmill to use it at home, as it’s expensive like hell, with a price of $8,500, but I’m positive about the fact that it would be a great idea for a commercial gym. In this new era, green treadmill workouts will surely attract many tree huggers. (Source: Coolest-Gadgets) [...]
