Samsung LED TV

Samsung LED TV

“That’s not a gadget” we hear you sigh, but when a TV is as clever as this, it most definitely is. For starters it looks sexier than a strip club to a monk and is thinner than a supermodels lunchbox (1.2″). It also posseses a multitude of connection possibilities. These stack up to an impressive 4 x HDMI ports, 2 x USB ports, a DTV Tuner, wireless LAN and internet TV. Yup, we did say wireless Lan and internet TV.

Self-charging phone

Self-charging phone

This phone takes top-of-the-range watch technology and teams it up with a touchscreen to create a stylish hybrid handset. Its built-in battery is charged by the kinetic energy generated by the moving rotor so that your phone charges without you even noticing, while it’s working.

Dog-o-matic Dog Washing Machine

Dog-o-matic Dog Washing Machine

Some dogs absolutely hate getting washed and it can be a major chore to get them cleaned, so while the idea of throwing them into a dog washing machine might sound cruel, it seems like a pretty good idea. You just stick them in the machine, press “start,” and smugly watch with the knowledge that opposable thumbs make you the boss. According to the manufacturer, the animals don’t suffer.

Lazy Boy Cool Chair

Lazy Boy Cool Chair

I think the Lazy Boy Cool Chair is the gadget of all gadgets. I can’t think of anything much better than sitting back relaxing while watching your favourite Movie or TV show in this chair. Actually maybe I can, why not throw in some added gadgets such as a fridge to keep your drinks cool and a massager for after those long hard days at work. The Lazy Boy has been around for a long time now but I think you will agree it will always be a cool gadget.

Bike Moto Horn

Bike Moto Horn

Did you ever wish that your piddly little bicycle was a fearsomely noisy motorbike? Course you did. It’s why you stuck spoke-bothering lollipop sticks in your forks and bent your mudguards inside out. ‘Phturrrrrppplll!’ But if you were really cool you bought one of those rev-able vroom-vrooming soundboxes.

Wow, this was a hard choice this week. The bath time tv would be great, but I’d rather have a waterproof Kindle. The AccuVein would help further medical science. The tetris soap would just be too much fun. The lazy boy rocks… but it still needs a place to plug in your lap top. And the touch screen unit would be an integral part of your home command center, or evil secret lair. Tough call. I guess I have to go with the whole good for humanity thing.

The self charging phone sounds wonderful.I hate to charge my phone.

Definitely a great gadget for businessmen or people who travels and talks on their phone a lot. No more charging!

Jason Says: May 22, 2009 at 10:35 am

Is self charging the wave of the future? What about wireless electricity? Duel, anyone?

Krysta Says: May 22, 2009 at 10:59 am

Self charging phone gets my vote!

Justin Says: May 22, 2009 at 11:37 am

Self charging phone! its amazing, and the technology has been around forever. Wonder how much juice can be generated by kinetic energy though, as a watch doesn’t use too much power (months/years on one battery) and my cell phone needs to be recharged daily.

Tetris Soap. Nuf said.

Chance Says: May 22, 2009 at 12:45 pm

Being a dog person I thought I’d pick the dog bath , but I rather like the idea of a phone that is always charged.

Drew Says: May 22, 2009 at 1:36 pm

Lots of goodies this week! The Sammy TV is my choice. I saw one at my local Fry’s and even the wife was drooling over it.

The Accuvein. Ever gotten an injection where they couldn’t find the vein and had to keep sticking you? No more.

Maxxx Says: May 24, 2009 at 12:09 am

Gotta be the Tetris Soap – gives me an excuse to use that old “Where’s the soap?” “Yes it does, doesn’t it!” gag!

Richard Says: May 24, 2009 at 2:57 am

I go for the waterproof LCD.
great idea and long overdue. expecting to see it soon in multiple uses:
sailboats, bathrooms, whirlpools, etc.

the self charging phone just seems so impossible:
way too much power demand.

danielo Says: May 24, 2009 at 6:03 am

Guess I’m on the bandwagon — self-charging phone is perfect.

Selene M. Says: May 24, 2009 at 7:15 am

I vote for the AccuVein AV3000.

xolin Says: May 24, 2009 at 5:40 pm

A vein finder?!? A smack addict’s dream! Unfortunately, they’ll just sell it next time they need to score, so it’ll just be a waste of money buying them one for their birthday…

PizzaNite Says: May 24, 2009 at 6:42 pm

I voted for the Lazy Boy Chair! I love recliners! Was just talking a friend about watching TV while in one.

It looks so kool and comfortable.

Ok, so how often does my phone juice run out? Um never.
I have a double charge in the car, one for the phone, the other for my gps.

My veins? Well they have gotten ‘popped’ recently by nurses who couldn’t find mine. They need it not me.

Jenna Says: May 24, 2009 at 7:38 pm

self-charging phone. I don’t know how many times I’ve run down a cellphone by midday.

yasmeen Says: May 24, 2009 at 10:07 pm

In this busy times what else you want? Of-course self-charging phone!

bbx Says: May 25, 2009 at 6:31 am

I love the self-charging phone! I never remember to charge my phone and searching for the charger has always been a hassle.

John Says: May 26, 2009 at 1:29 pm

Ooooh… This one’s pretty tough. But I’m gonna have to go with the Waterproof LCD screen bath tub. It just seems like a brilliant idea to me. I also liked the Self Charging Phone, considering that it WAS made by a fancy watch company, but the LCD bathtub screen just takes the cake. Yum.

Thomas Says: May 26, 2009 at 10:11 pm

I want to take a bath, but I don’t want to stop watching Grey’s Anatomy. If ONLY there was a way I could do both!
