The TwistTogether Lamp lets you decide the shape

Although this isn’t’ the cheapest form of lighting out there, it’d be a great addition to a kid’s room.  It’s also not the type that they can sit next to for some extra lighting while they work on their homework.  It would, however, be perfect for kids who are scared of the dark, but don’t want the boring night lights.  This one would add a lot of color and wouldn’t broadcast to their friends that they’re afraid to sleep in total darkness.

Each individual block twists around so that you can make them sit at different angles.  That also gives your child a little extra something that they can be creative with, which is always a bonus.  It uses LED lights to give the glow that you see here.  The major down side is that it might be difficult for parents to justify spending $104 on a light that their child could outgrow in only a couple years.  After all, kids preferences never stay the same for too long.
