This is a really cool eco friendly loudspeaker that really does work. Designed originally as a super hi-fi monitor for monitoring home recordings on a laptop and now available as a quick and easy to assemble kit. They are so efficient they will run from the headphone plug of an iPod or MP3 or feed from the tiny amp in cheap PC USB speakers - or reach concert venue sound levels with a top of the range 100w per channel studio monitor amplifier. The need for a modular loudspeaker which could be used in large live performance venues with demanding electro-acoustic inputs has led to a truly original way to get the most beautiful sound from the most suitable material. It may be cardboard, but it has definitely evolved from thinking outside the box! Extremely tough, light and classic design looks. The promo website gives a few ideas on using tshirts and posters to give them that unique look. £40 a pair is a great bargain when you help reduce your carbon footprint as well - or how about asking for a custom model using part of the Berlin Wall or a sheet of re-cycled corrugated iron complete with street art by B... website to visit is:www.wix.com/marklimbrick/grafitti1

[...] Published by Maria Mihale, on Apr 30 2009, in the categories: Gadgets Here’s what we’re told on the Bang & Olufsen: “Though the online event is over, this was only the beginning! A row of activities related to BeoSound 3 will run online, when we actually launch this unique product. At this point we can reveal that there will be several interesting prize draws, an updated eCard engine with BeoSound 3 as the main feature and a chance for you to get truly creative with BeoSound 3 – for a chance to win one of our prizes.” It sounds quite interesting, even if we’re talking about a product that articles were written about a couple of years ago (I found, for example, one that is dated with 2005, which is loooong time ago). In the given context, trying to find this product with information about the price and availability, it was an impossible mission, unfortunately. Not to mention the fact that the paragraph above has no date whatsoever to let me know when the online event took place. The point is BeoSound 3, designed by Bang & Olufsen, is a unique device that isn’t to be found in home accessory stores, even if it’s quite interesting. The BeoSound 3 packs functions like a portable radio, a clock and a digital audio player, which aren’t impressive or revolutionary. But it’s the design that counts. And we should thank its designer for that, David Lewis. In addition, there’s a full-range loudspeaker that is integrated in the device. The BeoSound 3 runs on a rechargeable battery and you won’t be bothered by all sorts of cables or plugs. (Source: coolest-gadgets.com) [...]
