With reports of notebook and iPod batteries exploding keeping us on the edge of our seats in the past, why not take the necessary precautions to ensure the precious family jewels remain safe if you’re one who works on your notebook most of the time? The Belkin CushDesk is here to help as it keeps your legs cool and protected at all times.

With CushDesk, you can use your laptop comfortably anywhere in your home—on your couch, your bed, or the floor. Its solid molded top provides a smooth and sturdy surface, or “work space.” CushDesk is designed with a slight angle so you can easily view your laptop screen at a more comfortable angle. Additionally, its slim design lets you easily store it in your living room or bedroom.

The Belkin CushDesk will retail for $29.99 and comes in pitch black/soft gray, espresso/fuchsia, pitch black/pitch black, and pitch black/dark sky color combinations, working with notebooks no larger than 17″. Strangely enough, it isn’t available for purchase yet despite being officially announced.
