<description>[...] Published by Maria Mihale, on Apr 11 2009, in the categories: Gadgets And I don’t want to be impolite, but these headphones, coming from iHarmonix, are far from being the cheapest ever. More than that, you can’t even consider them to be affordable as you’ll be able to see for yourselves a little bit later. I have had the chance to write about all sorts of headphones during the time, but, as far as I remember, this is the first time for me to tell you about iHarmonix branded ones. If you’re curious about them, you can go to the company’s official website and make a first impression about its products. You’ll see that they are quite nice and you might even want to have a pair of your own. The Platinum Series, for example, consists of the i-Series, ev-Series and e-Series. The i-Series are high fidelity stereo ones, aimed at all sorts of music devices, as long as they are equipped with a 3.5mm jack. Therefore, if you own an iPhone, an iPhone 3G or a BlackBerry, you can consider yourself a happy man. They come with an in-line microphone, supposed to be used for voice calls, a multi-function button that helps you send and put an end to your phone calls, 11mm drivers, neodymium magnets that are designed to ensure dynamic sound and bass, a gold-plated 3.5mm audio / voice DC jack and a casing made of brushed stainless steel. Unfortunately, these are not available for the moment. As for the ev-Series, they are compatible with iPod and MP3 players, and they come with an in-line volume control, 11mm drivers, the same neodymium magnets, and the list goes practically in the same way as the previous one. If you’re interested, they cost $59.95. Last, but not least, the e-Series are also high-fidelity stereo headphones targeted at those who own an iPod or an MP3 player. They are equipped with advanced sonic accuracy, 11mm driver unit, gold-plated 3.5mm DC jack and super bass. While the casing is made of brushed stainless steel, the finish is made of polished gun metal alloy. They are available right now for $49.95. The Pro Series includes the i-Series and the ev-Series earphones. While the first ones can be used with an iPhone, iPhone 3G and BlackBerry, the latter ones are compatible with the iPod and MP3 players. As for the features, the headphones come with a 3.5mm jack, an in-line microphone, perfect for the voice calls you are so very used to, a multi-function button that is able to send and end your phone calls, pause music, 11mm drivers, neodymium magnet, ergonomic noise isolation and the memory foam eartips. The i-Series are being sold for $39.95, while the Pro ev-Series headphones cost $34.95. (Source: coolest-gadgets.com) [...]</description>
