At present, my cat is pretty good about staying around our property but should she ever decide to start wandering, I would purchase this in a heartbeat. If I were to find her straying too far, I would turn her into an indoor cat whether she liked it or not. I agree with the above posters but that is the state-of-the-art right now. I would put up with the inconvenience, though, because my cat means so much to me. This is exactly the type of device I came to this section of the web site to find.
