		<description>Those &quot;skis&quot; not the equivalent to &quot;clap skates&quot; in speed skating, a design that revolutionized the sport.

Those &quot;skis&quot; are like aluminum baseball bats.  They&#039;re fine for the unskilled and for amateurs, but at the highest levels, standard downhill skis will remain the norm, just as wooden baseball bats do in the Major Leagues.

For those like myself who think skiing should be about practice and skill, those &quot;skis&quot; are farcical.</description>
