Simon Alarm Clock revives your memory as you wake
by Mark R in Electronic Gadgets, Gaming Gadgets, Toys
I think that, as a rule, we at Coolest Gadgets have to report on an interesting alarm clock once every week. Last week, we covered the Smash Alarm Clock and the Police Siren Alarm clock, and today, it is an alarm based on Simon.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Simon, I’m not talking about a judge on American Idol. I am referring to an electronic game back in the early eighties, back before handheld electronic games did not have full-color displays.
Yeah, we’re going old school here. For those of you who need a lesson in how Simon is played, it was all about lights and sounds going off on certain colors, and then pushing that color down. With a little visual and audio memory, you can beat it.
I’m sure there are a lot of you who didn’t need that eighties flashback, but I thought you might need a little reminder of Simon so you can see how the Simon Alarm works. In order to stop the blaring alarm, you have to beat Simon.
The alarm will wake you up, but playing the Simon game should make sure that you stay up. Then again, you might get so tired after playing Simon that you could nod off and go back to sleep again. If you want to see how it works for you, there is no word on a price or availability as yet.
