The North Face’s Etip Gloves

by Ally

The North Face is a name that has always been associated with winter clothing for those that enjoy being out in the cold.  It’s never really been for those that may hate the cold, but still want to look pretty in it.  It’s more for the sporty outdoorsy type, not those like me that like to hide where it’s warm (I don’t do winter).  No these gloves aren’t exactly pretty, but they are touch screen friendly and they’ll keep you plenty warm.

There have been two different types of gloves that were made to work with the iPhone.  Neither of them really looked like they would be good for those that actually do things outside.  They were knit gloves that work great for those of us that only go outside to rush indoors again.  These North Face gloves have silicone gripper palms and work for cool or cold conditions.  They are functional with all of those gadgets that don’t want to cooperate with gloves, like the iPhone, iPod Touch, and anything with a click-wheel.  Unfortunately these are a bit pricey, you can pick them up for $40 on The North Face’s website.

i just picked up a pair of these from urban outiftters a few hours ago and i am very impressed. yes, they are overpriced, but so is the air we breathe and the company we keep. if you can afford it, it is definitely worth the forty dollars. i live in michigan where the temperature stays right around 0 degrees for the majority of the winter. in the past i have literally relied on my nose to type out numbers, make calls, and select songs. not only is this difficult and very distracting while driving, it leaves young man acne oil and grease smudged all over my palm pri and my ipod touch; not to mention anyone watching this ordeal immediatley concludes that i must have some serious issues with the way i go about my life. these gloves have eliminated this problem and allow me to switch a song or accept a call without the use of my nose and without exposing my delicate digits to the harsh wilderness of this great state that i have grown to love and care for so very much. i must also add that the material is very warm and is anything but bulky, allowing me to type out numbers and smoke my cigarettes and turn my pages with ease. get yourself a pair and smile because you now own the coolest gloves in america.
