nPower PEG gives you more power than you can shake a stick at

by Mark R in Eco Gadgets, Mobile Phones

I believe that if we could harness all the kinetic energy from all things that are in motion, we would have no trouble powering any of our technological devices. This concept has now been applied with the nPower PEG personal energy generator.

All that is required is that the user plug in their electronic device, and shake the stick. Or, if you want to be practical about it, go for your morning run. You can clip it to your belt, put it in a bag, or even hold it in the air like a baton at a relay race. Electromagnetic induction transfers the kinetic energy from the movement and turns it into useful power for your mobile device.

I’m sure you are probably wondering how much movement is necessary to get a full charge. The company is pleased to report that the kinetic energy gained in motion is equal to that of a wall charger. The PEG can also support ninety percent of most handheld electronics including Portable Media Players, cellular phones, digital cameras, and GPS devices.

The number nine is the magic number for the nPower PEG, as it weighs about 9 ounces and measures at 9 inches. Since it is designed to be energy efficient and eco-friendly, it is the proper color: green. It is available for pre-order for about $149.
