The new version of the K2 is the K3, which is a tribrid - you can charge it with sun, wind or through the wall plug. It's been upgraded from the CES and has a bigger internal battery and bigger wind turbine. More info at company website www.kinesisindustries.com.

This thing is so cool cant wait to get one!! I've heard there's a new one out that's more durable called the K3 and can also be charged through the wall. All the adapters are stored inside the device so all you need to do is carry around this one piece. SWEET!

It looks pretty good, would be nice if they had a couple of different colors available. I just wonder about its durability and how long it will take to charge.

Nice find. This, in conjunction with the usb charging cable for my phone, would be ideal as I spend a lot of time out and about and I'm always running out of power. I just hope it's not another 'celery' device - where the amount of energy you put into getting it to work is far less than you ever get out
