You aren’t being inventive enough! Think remote data center. The bot could be used to roam the center looking for events. If a server went down the bot could go to the front panel and look at the status panel which the remote operator could see on his screen.

Or how about office building security? You could include a track sensor for the floor. The bot follows a given path. If the bot detects heat signatures or sound it could home in on it. A vid of the file is recorded.

This is a pretty good idea.
