Although I can’t remember the last thing I cooked that I needed an exact amount of vegetables for, I could see how this device would be highly convenient.  For those of you that do like to experiment with recipes straight out of a cookbook, this would be a handy tool to have around.  Even if you wanted to just set a bowl of already chopped vegetables aside, you could toss them in the attached measuring cup.

Granted, you could just set your own measuring cup next to the cutting board.  However, most people don’t have a measuring cup that adjusts as nicely as this one does.  It adjusts from 1/8 to 1 cup.  Once you’re done loading it up, it easily detaches from the cutting board, so you can dump the contents into whatever it is you’re cooking.  The cutting board has a raised surface to make it easier to slide chopped foods into the bowl.  It’s also dishwasher safe to make for easy clean up.  You can purchase it for $27.99 on Amazon.
