I think it has come to pass that Americans now view driving as a God Given Right, instead of a privilege, and they’re looking to the manufacturers to make sure that they don’t have to try too hard or have to be competently skilled to operate their vehicle.

Once you lose something like the ability to hold people responsible for things, it’s almost impossible to get it back. At what point do we rein everyone in, and actually make sure that they’re confident and competent to operate a machine that would otherwise be a hazard to the lives and properties of everyone around? At what point will it become a privilege again, and not a right?

Wow, that has major catastrophic failure and death written all over it. I’m sorry but, with Fords “reliable” history with alternators and starters my confidence is low.
