HP MediaSmart home server plays nice with Mac and PC

HP attempts to offer the best of both worlds to Mac and PC users with its latest MediaSmart home server that will come in ex485 and ex487 flavors. This server is smart enough to organize files across the network automatically, streaming them across the home network and Internet for your entertainment pleasure at your whim and fancy. Both servers will boast the same features apart from their obvious compatibility, of course, including HP Media Creator, Media Streaming, Photo Publishing and viewing. The system itself doubles up as a backup repository for PC and Mac computers. Powered by an Intel Celeron 2GHz processor and aided by 2GB RAM, you can pick up the ex485 that comes with 750GB of storage space or the ex487 that has double that amount for $599 and $749, respectively.
