The Jamo A 804 Speaker is based on a simple principle of space-saving. Since most people are buying television sets that are getting thinner and thinner, it is no surprise that there would be a demand for speakers that are just as skinny.

The A804 Speakers are a mere 3.9 inches thick, and are housed in a black leather/high gloss enclosure. As for what is inside these speakers, they have a .75 silk-dome tweeter with Jamo’s unique WaveGuide technology for clear highs, and “the 4.5-inch midrange and two 4.5-inch woofers provide stirring midrange and deep, booming bass”.

These thin speakers are quite versatile, as they can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. They can work as left, right, center channel, or even a rear surround speaker.

They also have “flow-optimized dual bassreflex ports”, which can carry better low frequencies than most wall-mounted speakers. Speaking of wall-mounting, putting the A804 on the wall is as simple as hanging a portrait. It’s nice to have speakers that can mount without a major home renovation.

The Jamo A804 is slated to be released next month at a price of $449. That means for full surround sound, you will be shelling out about $2500. Lets hope this is worth it for that price.
