The LED Milk Light

by Ally in Home Gadgets

Apparently the overly popular “Got Milk?” ads have gone to one designer’s head.  Now even when you’re not having a glass of milk, you can show appreciation for the beverage with this odd little lamp.  It obviously won’t illuminate much, and couldn’t be used as even so much as a task light.  However, it would add a nice glow to any room you decide to place it in.   It would also make a nice night light for the kitchen and would blend right in.

The glasses are actually made out of acrylic (not glass)  and are powered by three AAA batteries.  To turn the light on it has to be in the upright position.  If you want the lamp to be turned off, just flip the glass upside down.  It also uses a power saving LED light bulb.    Each glass stands 14cm tall and are surprisingly cheap.  You can purchase them for $4.50 a piece on the Wholesale Forums.  At that price you could buy several.

They look very cool, actually, even though they can’t be used as “real” lighting. But if you want to create some special atmosphere…
