SanDisk having a fire sale for Cyber Monday

by James

San Disk is deeply slashing prices on their Ultra II SDHC cards for Cyber Monday. In an effort to boost online sales from their direct site, the 1st tier memory card maker is cutting the prices of their high capacity Secure Digital memory cards by up to 50% or more. What a deal.

Some of the cards being slashed include an 8GB Ultra II SDHC card for about $21.00 (regular list price is $50). Sony fans will appreciate the discounting of a 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo from around $40 to $19.99. For smart phones, SanDisk is offering an 8GB microSDHC card for $30, down from $70 bucks. And that’s not all. Prices are being slashed for today only on USB flash drives and also a few of SanDisk’s media players, including the Sansa Clip, Fuze, and View MP3 players. 4GB Microdrives are as low as $20, with 16GB thumb drives going for under $45 dollars.

The Ultra II SDHC cards have a max write speed of 15 mega bits per second and the 2GB models are selling for a paltry $11.

Discounts end tonight at Midnight Pacific Time.

Are you serious? “Paltry $11?” I bought 3x 4Gb SDHC Sandisk Extreme III cards from 3 months ago for $7 after rebate. Yes, $7. Total. Not “per card.”

Do you have any idea what a deal actually is? Anyone who buys these cards at the prices you’ve listed got ripped off in a serious way.
