NuWave Oven Pro speeds up Thanksgiving
by Mark R in Home Gadgets, Kitchen Gadgets
Since we just reported on a Thanksgiving Gallery of Gadgets, I felt that it was appropriate to write about a gadget that solves a common Thanksgiving problem. After all, a turkey takes several hours to cook, which is why it takes all day to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner.
Fortunately, there is the NuWave Oven Pro, which has the ability to roast a 10 pound turkey in only two hours. So if you ever have guests over for Thanksgiving and forgot to cook the bird, you will only have to stall for two hours instead of all night. Granted, I don’t see how you could forget to cook a turkey.
You might be wondering how this miracle is possible. The NuWave Oven Pro uses a three-way combination of conduction, convection, and infrared heat to cook it golden. There is even an extender to accommodate a 16 pound turkey, but my source does not say how long it takes to cook that.
So, even Thanksgiving dinner is getting the speedy treatment thanks to technology. The problem with this device is it can only be used when you have a turkey dinner, which is usually just Thanksgiving and Christmas. Maybe you should keep the NuWave Oven Pro with the Christmas decorations, and take it out when the holidays roll around.
The NuWave Oven Pro is available for about $119.97. Hopefully, that is a reasonable price for you, but the real cost might be your countertop space.
