Microsoft to reduce Zune price

by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets

Microsoft’s Zune is not exactly the iPod killer as intended, and the device has been languishing in terms of sales for quite some time already since its release. Well, guess Microsoft isn’t going to kill the device anytime soon but they hope to boost its sales figures by slashing prices on the flash-based models. The 4GB Zune will now retail for $99 after getting a $30 discount, while Zune 8GB players get a $10 cut (what a miser!) and the 16GB player gets a $20 discount to $179. These price cuts will take effect from tomorrow onwards for Americans, while those living in Canada will have to wait until Friday. Will these new prices move you to get a Zune?
