Mark III Pod gets you way into the game

by Mark R in Gaming Gadgets

Sometimes, when I am playing video games, I get so into them that I completely shut off myself from the rest of the world. Fortunately, the Mark III Pod is an actual way to do the job a lot better than my mental facilities ever could.

It’s almost like those sit-down video games that were quite the kick back in the eighties are making a comeback, and taken a step further. The Mark III Pod, made by Pod Wombats, is made for PC or console gaming with a joystick, steering controller, and display inside.

It certainly looks a lot better than large cardboard box, but at least it has a “high-end, quality design”. Not only that, you can apparently customize them, even with different colors.

In all honesty, I don’t see how anyone could fit inside this fully enclosed box. It is definitely not for the claustrophobic. Don’t get me wrong, games like Fallout 3 are wonderfully immersive in this, and this Mark III Pod could augment your experience. However, do you really want to be in there for hours at a time? If you find that you want to install a toilet in the seat of the Mark III Pod, seek help.

Well, this is how you want to get your head (and the rest of your body) into the game, feel free to take a visit to the Pod Wombats site and lay down $2,500. Is it too high a price to pay for a better video game experience? Leave me a comment and let me know.

Has anyone else heard about the new Cirque du Soleil show, Criss Angel Believe? It was created as a haunting
exploration into the mind of Criss, as viewers are taken on journeys with Criss between life and death so you
can imagine there is a lot more going on that just magic…so much to be seen! Definitely check out
youtube.com/cirquelasvegas to watch some clips of the show and see Criss talk about what to expect. It is
unlike any other show out there right now.

I work with Cirque, and a friend of mine here has seen the show. She had nothing but positive things to say about it.
