lol, they might as well make it all like mini aeroplanes. except on the ground. what with the moniters all built in? that.

the time would be wasted a bit though. probably could only manange the most basic of operations e.g microsoft applications on them though. i wouldn't rcommend this to any but business trips though. long business trips. the ones you spend collectng information then putting it altogether elsewhere.

but then why not save all that trouble and just use a personal/usiness laptop on the go? to have many computers in one place would require a few power sockets..

i like the power socket idea though. but unless it's like a cyber-cafe on the go or something ( like those libraries/luncheons) it probably won't market well enough^^;;

I think it's completely ridicules. The project can't last long. MAYBE, just MAYBE this could be used for long long trips but that doesn't even strike me as practical

Mostly all of our express buss service and commuter train are equipped with "free" Wi-FI and the trend is expanding to the full rout slowly around the Albuquerque NM area as public commuting becomes more acceptable. I believe any progressive transportation system needs to become Wi-Fi friendly.

Living in Chicago and commuting on the train every day I am very familiar with working on the way to and from work. On the train I ride every day I would estimate 35% have their laptops out, and another 25-30% are reading and writing E-mails and stuff on their PDA phone. That puts over half of the passengers working on their electronic devices on the way to work and back, with another good chunk working with boring old paper.

Any working model where you have to log in/out of a terminal on the go doesn't make any sense to me. Just buy your employees laptops, it is much more efficient. On the other hand, spending thousands of dollars so that you can save a few bucks on payroll probably appeals to someone in management somewhere!
