They want how much for those things? I grew up in Thailand and people would release hundreds of these on one of the local holidays. I am pretty sure they cost a couple of dollars apiece.

And yes, when the blows just right and the bag catches fire it is cool.

Nice idea, until an ill wind brings it down in a dry field of drought parched California. Somehow, I don’t think lighting a candle and sending it aloft would be on CDF’s list of smart things to do.

Umm…except for the fact that you’re releasing (what is intended to be) a flaming paper bag to sail out over the night sky. I recognize that it’s intended to burn up, but if this thing sets down on a thatch roof or wood shake roof, your neighbors could be quite displeased with you, no matter how biodegradable this thing is…
