VTech offers tech toys for kids
September 23rd, 2008 by Edwin in Childrens Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets
VTech will be releasing tech toys meant for kids, and these new toys are meant to provide kids with the necessary skills that they’ll need later in life, regardless of whether they want to be graphic designers, always being up an about or even a storyteller when they grow up. In a nutshell, these new products from VTech will help ease the learning process by making it fun and safe at the same time, helping children learn and develop their inherent skills regardless of their interest.
KidiArt Studio: High-Tech Creation Station
This interactive art console is like a mini Photoshop for digital creation that allows kids to edit and display their work on TV. The built-in digital camera gives them the freedom to capture images of family, friends, their own art work, and even create stop motion animations. Kids can send, save, share or print their creations, because KidiArt Studio connects to a PC.V-Motion: Wireless Motion-Activated Play
V-Motion takes educational video gaming to a new level with a motion-activated gaming system that engages both active minds and bodies. Plugging directly into the TV, it provides kids with a high-tech experience while using age-appropriate learning games like Kung Fu Panda and WALL*E, along with a motion-activated, intuitive wireless controller. Each Smartridge game encourages physical movement while giving minds a workout, as they learn basic math, reading, science, and spelling. The V-Motion includes the V.Link, a USB drive that connects kids to VTech’s secure online site to unlock bonus games and track their scores against other gamers. Designed for kids ages 3-7.V.Smile Cyber Pocket: On-The-Go Gaming
The V.Smile Cyber Pocket is a great way for young kids to have fun and tap into wireless game play. The Cyber Pocket features a compact, flip-up, high- resolution screen and touchable writing pad for educational video gaming on the go or at home. Kids can connect the handheld to the TV to play on the big screen, and then disconnect without disrupting their game. Like the V-Motion gaming system, kids can extend their play with the VTech V.Link (USB drive) online connection to unlock bonus play and track their scores. V.Smile Cyber Pocket is compatible with the current V.Smile Smartridge library and new licensed titles, including Kung Fu Panda and WALL*E.Create-A-Story: Stories Come to Life
VTech and Disney have teamed up to inspire creativity with Create-A-Story, which enables kids to build their own story by choosing their characters, developing the storyline and watching as their creation comes to life on TV. Kids can select from their favorite Disney and Disney/Pixar characters, films and TV series, including “My Friends Tigger and Pooh,” “Cars,” “Finding Nemo” and “Disney Princesses.” Create-A-Story helps kids improve their reading skills while giving them creative reign.
The KidiArt Studio targets kids who are 4 and above, retailing for $79.99 while the V-Motion and V-Motion Smartridge will retail for $69.99 and $24.99, respectively. As for the V.Smile Cyber Pocket, this product is meant for kids ages 5 and up, going for $69.99. Never too early to get Junior off on a good start, eh?

September 23rd, 2008 at 9:43 amI love these!! I bought the VSmile console for my nephew for Christmas last year (then 4 and just recently turned5). He loves it so much. He will even play the ones that are a little high for him even though he doesn’t get a lot of it. He enjoys learning from it and using what he has learned from his Mom and school.
