Remote Control Color Changing Lightbulb
The LED color changing light bulb fits into a standard light bulb socket. Inside are LED lights which can make any one of 16 different colors, all of which is controlled via a remote control. The light uses only 3 watts of electricity and can do such fancy tricks as flash, strobe, fade, smooth and dimming (which basically allows you to add a dimming bulb without having to install a dimmer switch in your wall).

TV B Gone Remote Control: Turn off any TV around you
This pocket sized remote control can switch off 99 per cent of TVs thanks to over 400 “off” sequences pre-programmed into the device. It works by shining pulses of invisible light that directs most TVs to turn off or on. You can use it in the office to control your boss’s TV, at home when the kids are fighting over reruns of Friends, at parties when people decide to pull out a Sandra Bullock film, and even at a restaurant when you can’t bear to hear 24 hours of weather forecasts anymore.

September 19th, 2008 at 8:56 amThe projector sounds the most useful to me… I’ve never needed one, but I can imagine the teacher in my university would’ve loved not having to carry large ones from room to room.

September 19th, 2008 at 9:30 amI voted for the OLED picture frame. The prices of these will be 1/4 of that by this time next year. The crappy digital photo frame days won’t last!

September 19th, 2008 at 11:40 pmI’m rooting for the projector on this one. Anything that can produce VGA quality images while firmly held in my one hand deserves kudos in my book!

September 20th, 2008 at 4:22 pmGotta go for the underdog (no pun intended) of the OLED picture frame. Maybe they’ll be reasonably affordable some day.

Clay Says:
September 20th, 2008 at 8:42 pmWell, as far as the coolest gadget….. Going to have to say the mini projector. But and nearly $360, it won’t be in the budget of most people for a while. Plus the resolution is less than acceptable when compared to the current “Norm” for projectors. However, its sleek appearance and of course its size would be recognizably good traits. As far the average budget goes, the coolest gadget would have to be the Sushi-Saber. This culinary device is the ultimate snack making machine (and it looks very user friendly!) Cheers everyone, and who knows, a $50 Amazon voucher might be mine.
