The USB Monkey SDHC Card Reader

August 25th, 2008 by Ally in PC Gadgets, USB Gadgets

Remember the Koala USB Card Reader?  Well here’s another animal card reader that in order to use it, you snatch off the poor little guy’s head.   This one is of course cooler, because monkeys are always cooler than koalas.  It’s a rule or something, monkeys just have more geek appeal.  Plus to add to the geek appeal there is the morbid extra of ripping off it’s head every time you use it.

The drive supports Windows Vista, XP, 2000, ME.  Thank goodness it supports ME, I was really worried there for a second.   It also features fully supported 2.0, transfer rate up to 480Mps as well as a red LED indicator.  Beyond that there aren’t a ton of speccs really, since it is one of the simpler devices to pick up.  To purchase one it will cost you $12 at USB Geek.  Hopefully next time they’ll just go all the way with the morbid reference and make it even more morbid.  If you’re going to do it, you might as well do it right.
