Wireless workhorse ideal for the home office

by James

I love wireless for the freedom it gives me. Without having to tether to my desktop, I can work in the living room while my wife and son enjoy their evening. Or, I can go to the local Starbucks, enjoy a Mocha frap while I check my email. Beautiful. But wireless printing has always been the one piece of the puzzle for me. Being able to print without having to connect to that printer is my holy grail and Epson has the map to get me there … and in glorious color, too.

It’s called the Epson WorkForce 600 all-in-one printer/scanner/fax machine (although why faxes are apart of the equation in our PDF emailing world is beyond me). Ordinarly, I’m not an “all in one” kinda guy because traditionally, if one item goes down, the entire thing is useless. But the technology has come a long way since the early 90s which make the Epson Workforce a viable alternative to the small home office. And the numbers are impressive. A blistering 38 pages per minute att 5,760 x 1,440 dpi, scanning at resolutions up to 1,200 x 2,400 dpi, and did I mention the wireless printing capability? The WF600 also has a great software utility on board which does Auto Photo Correction like red-eye and overexposure. Easy to do with it’s 2.5” color LCD screen. And, it’s PC and MAC compatible on the same network.

Cost is $200 from Epson. And it’s wireless!

BTW – Did I mention it’s wireless?
