Portable Cell Phone Jammer stops unwanted overheard conversation

by AndrewD

With so many people walking around with Bluetooth headsets and mobile phones glued to their ears, it has become common practice to be privy to everybody’s private life, most of the time against our will. We no longer even need to try eavesdropping. Perfect strangers say some of the darndest things in public places.

But sometimes, we can’t help but feel just a tad violated by people who just gab relentlessly in an obnoxiously loud fashion about some private matters that are better left for face-to-face communication. We don’t care how your STD tests came back positive or how much of an asshole your boyfriend is. Sorry, but it’s true for the most part. The Portable Cell Phone Jammer puts a halt to everyone’s conversation in your surrounding area.

This Portable Phone Jammer blocks a universal list of phone signals, including GSM, DCS, PCS, PHS, DECT, CDMA, and 3G. So no matter your locale, unwanted eavesdropping can be a thing of the past. With a radius of 8-10 meters and a battery life of about 1.5 hours, you should be able to block most cellphone signals for most of a movie if you happen to be in a busy cinema.

The jammer is designed to fit in the palm of your hand, measuring only 5.8 x 11.8 x 2.2 cm, quite a great tool if you’re in dire need of peace and quiet. Or at least a little reprieve from hearing of your fellow commuters’ personal business. You can grab your own from Brando for $246.

I would love to have a cell phone jammer. I wouldn’t even use it in the situation provided, but I’d use it to mess with my friends. Anyway, these aren’t even legal in the US, so I don’t think I’m getting one any time soon.

I’ll quote wiki, In the US: “Illegal to operate, manufacture, import, or offer for sale, including advertising with fines of up to $11,000 and imprisonment of up to one year.” source

another interesting article can be found here.

Great!
Now when someone tries to call 911 they can be stopped from doing so. Every mugger needs one.

In spite, you can also use a jammer. You can take it to airport, cinema hall and anywhere you want. Nobody will be able to know it as it is like a mobile kind of device.
Law is there . But you can not live in this world if you are abiding every line of the law.

In case of emergencies, Police / Fire / EMS bands are NOT effected by jammers. Also, they do nothing to landlines of course, which worked great for years before cell phones were invented.

I don’t like people who read. Are there any e-book jammers?

They are not legal in the USA, so you buy them over the Internet from somewhere like the UK where they are legal. When you get a blocker, do not tell anyone about it.

I had one. I am in Health Care so I kept my blocker in the pocket of my uniform. When I was in an exam room and someone’s cell phone rang, I reached into my pocket and blocked the call. It would block calls of people in the waiting room.

New phone technology outwitted the blocker. I have learned to ignore cell phone conversations, so I do not have a blocker now.

Sherry,
Your unit was not outwitted, but likely you had one that did not cover the newer 3G bandwidth, which has gained popularity in most areas.

Thanks for the post. If you don’t mind my asking, what WP theme are you using? Is it available Free or is it a custom design? Thanks.
