Logitech appears to be getting into the whole “Back to School” fever with one of their newest products, the V550 Nano mouse, which appears targeted for students.

One of the first selling points is the clip and go dock that allows a user to clip the mouse to the notebook. Apparently, it is easy to attach, and remove, so now the mouse will be a part of your laptop and not separate. It is perfect for students going in between classes.

Another big feature is the “Plug-and-Forget Nano-Receiver”, which is a wireless key for the mouse that is about as small as a nickel. It has about 18 months of battery life, and it can be turned off when not in use in order to preserve power.

The wireless connection between the mouse and the computer is accomplished via 2.4 GHz transfer which allows for virtually no delays or dropouts. There is also some new laser technology to deliver smoother cursor control on virtually any surface.

It also allows for hyper-fast scrolling, as one spin goes through 10,000 lines of spreadsheet in seven seconds. There is even more control with the click-to-click mode.
