I think where these gadgets get it wrong though is thinking that it can be done right away. They need to program the alarm clock with a sound and a smell and then everyday the sound will get quieter and quieter until it is eventually replaced completely by the smell. That way your body will know to wake up to the smell instead of just sleeping through it. I for one think that it is totally possible to wake someone up with a smell.
