I have made a few of these my self, and upgrading each one. The last one has solar panels built into the front and top. but not noticable much cause its coverd with plexiglass so it still has the smooth style. and has the brushless motors on each wheel gettin the bike to about 60 to 70 km/h so pretty quick for such a fragile vehicle but looks very similar in style with this one. I've sold nearly 800 in ontario so far but sales are not good enough yet. great vehicle though

Great idea. Lots of commuters who want to commute to work cheaply wearing their office clothes would love this. We need to get bike paths to authorize this type of transportation, since they clearly won't be allowed on freeways---yet.

Well, you still have to charge the thing, so it's not going to be as clean as a bicycle. But it all helps, I suppose.

I'm not sure how this will help stop "overpopulation," however. Though I guess the population could be cut down if people take these out and get flattened like bugs (or like motorcyclists) by bigger and meaner vehicles. Or perhaps if you drive one, you'd be too much of a geek for anyone to sleep with you?
