Well yeah a jetpack does cost a lot of money of course but how amazing would it be to fly every where. The problem is i can see drunk kids on those things flying into trees and houses and stuff. Its probably bad for the environment as well. I still like that jetpack and i want a jetpack.

Fuel Source

While the current fuel source is a better offering than other candidates would have been (in terms of environment, price, etc.), Martin Aircraft Company is completely committed to providing a Martin Jetpack that operates on more environmentally friendly fuel. Of course, this will take a little more time in the R&D department.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the jey pack is superb and like it says, the longest lasting one so far. But for a person to be working on improving this one project and you get this giant contraption you strap yourself into rather then strap the jet pack on your back, is a big dispappointment, and more so the power source- fossil fueled gasoline. I believe the answer is to make a jet pack work on compressed air, build an engine so powerful yet light weight and small enough to fit in a regular backpack and have it produce compressed air to propell the person into flight. I am no scientist by far but do have a logical means of thinking. 2008 and this is what we have- oh boy Will I be alive to enjoy a lightweight jet pack I strap on and not the other way around? In another 27yrs I won’t give a damn because I’ll be too old to try one… I guess I’ll just enjoy my Wii game and hope Wii industries comes up with a virtual enviroment where you can wear a jet pack and fly with no worries LOL!

For the price alone, I’d rather get my thrills buying a new home with all the features and perks like pool, 60″ plasma flat screen, automated kitchen appliances and much much more goodies I could spend 250K and probably have left over to buy a new car cash… Or I can buy this fossil fueled caveman turbine engine to strap on my back and kill myself if anything goes wrong, and if you survive the ride, to go back up will cost a hefty load to refuel with gas prices being so high LOL! No thanks, keep your jet pack, I will buy me a sports car and have way way more fun with girls in the car hahahaha!
