iMuffs Make Your iPod Experience Wireless

by Mark R in iPod gadgets

For those who are addicted to iPods, there is a new product that helps you to “cut the cord”. I’m not talking about breaking your iPod habit, because who would want to do that? I am talking about making your iPod experience cordless.

Using the iMuffs from Wi-Gear will remove the thin wires of the headphones by making them completely wireless. It works by plugging the Bluetooth transmitter into the iPod, and it works without any complex Bluetooth pairing. I was surprised that it worked so quickly.

The controls of play, skip track, and volume are conveniently at the ear, and are very easy to get used to. The iMuffs come with a charger that plugs into the wall, and connects to the iMuffs via mini-USB.

Not only are the iMuffs terrific headphones, but you can also use them to make Noise-Free Phone Calls. These iMuffs will automatically pause the iPod with a ring on the headphones, and will allow you to talk through the integrated microphone with its echo and noise cancellation software. You can also use them over iChat or Skype, even while playing video games.

Right now, the iMuffs are available for a special markdown price for $129.99, in black or white.
