I don’t think these are overpriced at all, they are unique and using discarded materials – a big plus. There is something called an earth ship people can build as sustainable housing from recycyled tires as a base…. worth looking into.

@Jen: I dunno If I’d call it overpriced. Each set is custom made so your paying for both the man time plus a unique art piece.

Would make a nice present if you know someone who’s an auto enthusiast and a chess lover… But for me (I’m neither) is just an overpriced chess set, sorry.

A wonderful example of recycling – the design’s brilliant and the green message it sends is very good too. I wonder if he will ever scale up production – with so many cars going to scrap every year there is no shortage of material for making them…
