I've driven the pk truck for a week now and after driving the sedan for the last month I'm convinced that it's a lot better than the car. An obnoxious odor consumed the interior during the charge cycle. Naturally it would stick to the upholstered seats then absorb into your clothing, Paul Sebastian was no match for AGM battery fumes. With the truck all batteries are located outside the cabin. In a crash at least I'd have a better chance of survival since I'm not jockying six lead-acid batteries. Road squeaks and rattles are to a minimum since the pk is a steel cabin compared to the sedans fiberglass. Sometimes it would sound like the back windshield might blow out on a real bumpy road. My pk is an '07 & the sedan '08 but the truck feels like it's years newer: it's peppier, the "leather" seats are better built, there's less risk of accidental electrical shock since everything is out in the open and not crammed into a tiny space. Now an 84 volt upgrade ought to be a cinch in the Pk. Thirteen miles one-way to work and all is well if I get a good charge before days end.
