I don’t really know why, but I’ve always been bothered by power outlets. It seems like any house you go to has those same dingy off-white covers that stick out like a sore thumb. Sure, it makes them easy to find when you’re looking for one, but they just look plain ugly. If I were building a house, I’d definitely throw in some of these Bocci 22 outlets which are much better looking.

These outlets are designed to be mounted flush with your wall, which means you’re going to have to be very handy with your tools to install it. Since this is for looks only, I would probably save myself the hassle and only install them where they would visible most of the time, such as hallways and on other bare walls. No word on pricing or availability.
