Especially not gloves made from a tear/abrasion resistant fiber like Kevlar. Yes, the glove may prevent the occasional minor cut or scrape, but more often than not the glove will be pulled into the tool causing substantially more damage to the fingers its "protecting". Thats why some cops wear kevlar vests as well as knife stab vests.
